Ebru Şahin has shared a brief public update after her husband, basketball player Cedi Osman, underwent knee surgery in Istanbul.
According to Onedio Magazin, Osman — who plays for PAOK and the Turkish national team — had an arthroscopic procedure for meniscus repair. Şahin then posted on social media that the operation had gone well, thanking the doctors and medical staff and sending love to people who had checked in.
That kind of statement is small, but it does a very specific job in celebrity culture: it closes the space where speculation likes to rush in. No melodrama, no cryptic photo, no performance of panic. Just a clean bulletin from the person audiences are most likely to treat as credible and close.
Onedio also reports that PAOK said Osman’s expected recovery period is about three months, with a gradual return to team activity after that. That estimate belongs to the club’s account of the injury, not to fan optimism or tabloid guesswork, which matters when sports injuries are so often turned into loose suspense.
Şahin and Osman married in 2022, and this update keeps the focus where it should be: on a successful operation and a defined rehabilitation timeline. In an attention economy that rewards oversharing, the post sounds almost unfashionably restrained. It is also useful.
