According to OK Magazine, Stause told followers, “G and I are no longer together, and we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other.” Then came the line that gave the announcement its weight: “That’s not hard for me because I am in love with this person.”
That is a rougher, more honest thing to say than the genre usually allows. Public breakup statements tend to flatten feeling into professionalism. Stause did the opposite. She sounded like someone trying to speak before the emotions had arranged themselves into something cleaner.
OK Magazine reported that she struggled through tears and said she was still trying to make sense of what had happened. “I’m sure, just like always with time, you know, you get the lessons you’re meant to get,” she said. “And I know that will happen, and I’m gonna heal, and everything’s gonna be fine.”
She also admitted, “I feel like a little bit of a failure,” a line that lands with more force than the usual language about privacy and mutual respect. It turns the camera away from PR and back onto the private humiliation that can follow any split, especially one that unfolded in public.
Page Six’s excerpt of the same video adds that Stause called the breakup “hard” and “painful,” and said supporters could keep loving both her and G Flip, “but it would have to be separately.” That phrasing carries its own small ache. It suggests an attempt to stay generous while drawing a line she plainly did not want to draw.
OK Magazine said the pair went public with their romance in May 2022 and married a year later in Las Vegas. In the video, Stause joked, “I’m definitely never doing this again,” before explaining that her followers deserved more than what she called “a cold written statement.”
That choice is what made the announcement feel less processed than most. A written note can tidy the edges of a breakup. A filmed one leaves the strain intact. Stause did not offer a villain, a neat reason or a grand lesson. She offered the messier fact that a relationship can end while love is still present, and that may be why the video hit as hard as it did.
