In the club statement quoted by Habertürk, Galatasaray said Osimhen was operated on at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital by club doctor Yener İnce. The club added that the striker’s condition would be followed with daily evaluations and that his treatment would continue under the supervision of the medical staff.
That is the firm part of the story, and it is enough to change the mood around a team. Once a leading striker needs surgery, the conversation stops being about form or rotation and becomes about absence.
Habertürk reported that Osimhen could miss several matches, with a return possibly taking three to four weeks, but that timetable did not come from the club statement itself. Galatasaray, at least publicly, have limited themselves to the operation, the monitoring and the treatment plan.
The useful detail here is not just that there was surgery, but why. Habertürk said a loose fragment had been found in Osimhen’s left knee. The same report cited Prof. Dr. Ufuk Şekir saying the significance depends on what caused that fragment. If it is simply a loose piece being removed, the procedure can be straightforward and the return relatively quick. If it is connected to a cartilage injury, the rehabilitation can become more involved.
So the operation clarifies one thing and leaves another open. Galatasaray know the procedure is done. What they have not offered is a public recovery schedule beyond daily assessment.
