Accepted into Claude Startups. Where Are My $1,000 Credits and Free Team Plan?

Claude Startups Approved, but No $1,000 Credits or Team Offer? You’re Not Alone.

I applied to Claude Startups on October 6. On October 7, Fierce & Tame Limited was accepted.

Before anyone turns that into a founder success story: it isn’t one. I filled out an application. It was approved. Nice news, useful benefits, back to work.

On October 8, I opened the member portal and started exploring it with my agent inside Codex.

The welcome email mentioned $1,000 in Claude API credits and a free year of Claude Team for up to five Premium seats, provided we were new to Team.

The partner offers were there. ElevenLabs, Linear, Gamma and the rest. Applied AI office hours were there too.

The two Claude offers?

I couldn’t find them.

An acceptance email. A portal. No claim button.

This wasn’t a failed payment or an error after redeeming something.

I couldn’t get that far. There was simply no visible option to claim the API credits or the Team offer.

At first, we treated it as a navigation problem. Perhaps I was looking at the partner section instead of the main benefits. Perhaps I needed to check the account or organisation. We also managed to add some unnecessary browser-login friction to the exercise.

Eventually, I said to my Codex agent, in less polite Turkish:

“I can’t be the only idiot dealing with this. Let’s search.”

That was the useful part of the morning.

Not another login. Not another scroll through the same page.

Checking whether someone else had already been standing in the same place.

Other Claude Startups members were reporting the same problem

We found a Reddit post describing almost exactly what I was seeing: an acceptance email, access to office hours and Startup Stack partner offers, but no option to claim the $1,000 API credits or the free Team seats. Read the report on r/ClaudeAI.

These are user reports, not an official incident announcement.

They don’t establish the cause. They do establish something helpful: this was not just me failing to spot an obvious button.

Where are the Claude Startups benefits supposed to appear?

Anthropic’s own programme FAQ says accepted companies should sign in to the Claude Startups page in Claude Console to claim their API credits.

The Team offer is also claimed from that page. The free year applies to eligible organisations that are new to Claude Team, with up to five Premium seats.

The FAQ also says the API credits expire six months after they are granted. Acceptance and redemption are therefore worth distinguishing: receiving the welcome email is not evidence that the credits have already reached your account. Anthropic’s official Claude Startups FAQ.

In other words, I was looking in the place the programme told me to look.

Is there a confirmed fix?

As of October 8, we have not resolved the missing offers on our account, and I have not found an official explanation for the specific issue.

One Reddit commenter reported that contacting sales helped resolve their missing claim option. That is a possible escalation route, not a guaranteed fix or an official redemption procedure. The reported support experience.

If you are in the same position, first check that you are using the accepted company account and the intended Console organisation. Keep the acceptance email and a screenshot of the missing offers.

Then describe the actual problem clearly:

Our company has been accepted into Claude Startups. Partner offers and office hours are visible, but the API credit and Claude Team redemption options are missing.

That is more useful than saying “Claude isn’t working.”

I’m not buying a Team subscription on the assumption that someone will make it free afterwards. I want to redeem the offer described in the acceptance email, through the appropriate process.

Sometimes the useful story is the bit after “you’re accepted”

I’m pleased we were accepted. We have things to build, and the programme could help us build them.

But acceptance announcements are easy to write.

The next morning—when someone opens the portal, can’t find the promised offers and wonders whether they’re missing something—is worth documenting too.

So this isn’t a victory lap. It isn’t an accusation either.

It’s a small record of what happened, what we checked and what remains unresolved.
