We got tired of the guesswork. So we built the truth. FreeMalta.com is Malta's sovereign data platform — built from lived experience, funded by no one, free for everyone.
FreeMalta didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a simple, frustrated question: "How much will it actually cost to live in Malta in 2026?" The standard calculators were broken — living in the past, ignoring real inflation, papering over the anxiety that locals, expats and digital nomads all shared.
We felt the community's frustration. People navigating a shifting economy with outdated maps. So we went on a mission: radical financial transparency for Malta. No more guessing. No more messy spreadsheets. Just the raw, data-driven truth.
Our goal is simple — reach the real pain points on this island and deliver information to people fast and free. Salaries, cost of living, permits, pensions, property, tax, citizenship. Everything you need to make Malta work for you — in one place, with no paywall and no agenda.
FreeMalta.com is the core — but behind it sits an ecosystem built for every layer of life in Malta. The News Beast for real-time news. Off The Record for the unfiltered stories. MaltaInsider for founders and investors who need Malta to obey their vision. FreeMalta Atlas for real estate. FreeMalta Prime for the best the island has to offer.
Every part of this ecosystem was built with the same principle: give people what they actually need, for free, with no agenda. Average products please everyone. Good products polarize. We chose good.
I arrived on this island at the end of 2014, and I didn't just live here — I was forged by it. By 2020, I officially obtained my Maltese citizenship after more than a decade on the ground. But the journey was far from a fairytale.
Life isn't always sunshine and pastizzi. I lived through the ultimate paradox — a story that began with love but ended in a relentless legal battle. Fifteen legal cases. Over a hundred court hearings. A period that tested every fibre of my being. I watched Suits six times, not just for entertainment — but to find the grit to navigate a system that felt like it was closing in.
But I never gave up. I learned that "This too shall pass." I didn't just survive the Maltese legal and administrative labyrinth — I mastered it. I learned how the gears of this island turn from the front lines of the courtroom, not from a brochure.
Before Malta, I was dedicated to social responsibility and volunteer projects across the EU. Here, I translated that mission into professional mastery across AML, Compliance, Risk, Fraud, Business Development and Sales. As a dual Turkish and Maltese citizen with over a decade operating in the same rooms as the decision-makers, one truth became obvious:
You don't need a dozen providers. You need the one who opens the right doors.
FreeMalta is not just a website. It is an infrastructure of truth. It is my way of giving back to the community — locals, expats and nomads alike — by providing the radical transparency I wish I had when I was fighting my own battles. I am here to make your work lighter, your time freer, and your decisions braver.
