Malta operates a mandatory pharmacy roster system regulated by the Malta Medicines Authority. Every Sunday and public holiday, exactly one pharmacy from each of the 20 designated areas across Malta and Gozo must remain open — ensuring every resident and visitor has access to a pharmacy regardless of location.
