A red-toned still life with a drinking glass and strong afternoon shadows.

Beckham made me look. The brand made me stay.

I became an IM8 ambassador yesterday.

There. Commercial relationship disclosed before anyone needs to play detective.

FreeMalta receives a commission on qualifying purchases through our link, and readers get 10% off their first order. That explains the link. It doesn’t explain why the brand caught my attention.

David Beckham did that first.

Of course he did. Put Beckham next to almost anything and people will stop scrolling long enough to work out what he’s doing there.

But getting someone to look is one thing. Giving them a reason to stay is considerably harder.

With IM8, I stayed.

I like the way this thing presents itself

Before we get into ingredients, studies or supplement routines, let me make a much simpler observation.

I like the packaging.

I like the colours. I like how the product looks on the page. There is a coherent visual identity rather than a collection of health-related promises fighting for space on a label.

That matters to me.

We’ve recently been developing FreeMalta’s health section, and I’ve spent quite a lot of time thinking about how a health page should feel. Useful, certainly. Clear. But also somewhere you actually want to spend a few minutes.

Health doesn’t have to look like a hospital corridor.

IM8 understands presentation. At least, that is my reading of the brand.

A good-looking container cannot tell you whether a supplement is useful for you. But it can make you curious enough to ask the next question.

I noticed the name. Then I noticed that somebody had thought about the whole thing.

Beckham is more than the face on the front

IM8 describes itself as a brand co-founded by David Beckham and biotechnology company Prenetics. So this isn’t simply a campaign in which a famous footballer holds somebody else’s product for a photograph. His involvement is part of the company’s founding story. IM8’s background

I think that gives the brand a considerable advantage.

Beckham has spent years building a public identity that travels well beyond football. People recognise him who have never watched him take a free kick. His audience crosses countries, generations and interests.

That doesn’t make him a nutrition researcher.

It does make him someone capable of bringing a new brand into conversations it might otherwise take years to reach.

My expectation is that he will help take IM8 further. That’s an opinion about the business and its visibility—not a prediction about anyone’s health.

And it isn’t only David

The tennis player is Aryna Sabalenka. The NBA player is Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Formula 1 driver is Ollie Bearman.

Prenetics identifies all three within its athlete partnership network and reports that they also became shareholders. That financial relationship is worth knowing alongside their public association with the brand. Prenetics’ company filing

From a branding perspective, it is an interesting group.

Football, tennis, basketball and Formula 1. Different audiences. Different daily demands. Different ways of making the same brand visible.

I can appreciate the commercial intelligence of that without treating the line-up as a clinical result.

An athlete’s involvement tells you something about the partnership. Whether a particular product makes sense for you still requires a different conversation.

There are questions I want answered properly

What exactly are you buying?

How do the products differ? What do the ingredient amounts mean? Which claims concern individual ingredients, and which are supported by research on the finished product?

Then there are the less glamorous questions that matter once somebody actually considers ordering.

Delivery. Subscription terms. Recurring cost. Whether a product duplicates things they already take.

Those questions deserve more than a cheerful paragraph followed by a discount code.

They also deserve more than automatic dismissal because a celebrity is involved.

I’m interested enough to give the subject some space. I’m not interested in pretending curiosity is the same thing as having reached a conclusion.

Diana will take the next part

Over the coming weeks, Diana will be writing about IM8 in FreeMalta’s health section.

The intention is to build a small, useful collection of articles—not publish five versions of the same product introduction.

We’ll look at the products, their ingredients, the evidence behind the claims and the practical questions readers have before buying. Manufacturer statements will be identified as such, and our ambassador relationship will remain visible.

These will be informational articles, not personalised medical advice.

I haven’t written this as a hands-on product review, either. There are no invented mornings in which I suddenly felt ten years younger after my first glass.

This is the beginning of an exploration.

If it has caught your attention too

You can explore IM8 through FreeMalta’s ambassador link and get 10% off your first order with FREEMALTA10, subject to the offer’s terms.

FreeMalta earns a commission on qualifying purchases through that link.

Have a look. Read what’s there. Give yourself time to decide.

Beckham got my attention.

The next part belongs to the product.
